Allan Childs

Allan Childs is the SCOT President. He has been a member of the Scottish Club of Tulsa since 1996. His clan is Drummond. He was treasurer of the club for one term. Allan was editor of the Tartan Tattler for 5 years. His favorite single-malt whisky is MacAllan. He is an order of the Silver Thistle winner. Allan is a member of Scots of the Old West. He has a black lab mix named Jake, likes camping and is an avid ice hockey player.














Eric Robertson

Eric M Robertson
is the Senior Vice President (Past-President). He has been a member of The Scottish Club of Tulsa since 1990. His clan is Donnachiad. Eric was President of the club for 2 terms and took over the club for a third term in July 2009. He also serves on the board of the Oklahoma Scottish festival as Vice President, and has done so for the past 4 years. He has served as the Emcee for the Scottish Festival for 12 years. Eric’s favorite single malt whisky is Glendronach 15yrs and Mcee Single Malt. He conducts whisky tastings in Tulsa. He is a “big-time Celtic football fan”, stating that “Nothing beats watching Scotland play football & rugby.” Last but not least, Eric states, “I have been married to my wonderful wife Donna for 29yrs.”












Kami Hoar

                    Kami Hoar is the SCOT Membership Chair. She has been a member of the club for 9 years and membership chair for the last 4 years.
                    Her family has enjoyed attending the monthly gatherings and the additional club functions that come up throughout the year. The annual
                    Burns Night Dinner held in January is her favorite event. They have made very good friends through the club and are always meeting     
                    interesting new people. She is a member of the Clan Forsyth Society of the US and the Oklahoma Representative for this society.
                    







Vicki Cox


Vicki Cox is on her third year as Social Chair for SCOT. Her favorite event of SCOT is the Pub Crawl. Vicki and Michael were married at the Scottish Festival of Tulsa in 2009. She belly dances as a hobby and is an original member of Sisters in Spirit, an all womens’ motorcycle riding group that started in Tulsa 9 years ago and is now international. Her clan is Clan Ross and she doesn't like single malt whiskey.








Michael Cox


    Michael Cox, Entertainment Chair/V.P. Michael Cox is the Entertainment Chair/V.P. Michael and his family joined SCOT in 2006 and
    he served as Sergeant-at-Arms for 3 years. He is an Eagle Scout as well as an avid hunter, fisherman and all around outdoorsman. He
    is a member of Clan Gunn and his favorite Single Malt Whisky is a nice Isla.

Dan Yaws

Daniel Yaws
is the Advertising V.P. He is a returning member to the club. Daniel has been back for two years. His clan is Buchanan on my mother’s side of the family and he is Welsh on his dad’s side. Daniel is a computer technician and he works for Advance Auto Parts. He enjoys listening to Celtic music.









Laura Roets

Laura Roets
is the Tartan Tattler Editor and has been in SCOT since 2005. She has a doctorate from OSU and another from Clayton College of Natural Health. She is a Clinical Supervisor in a substance abuse treatment center. Laura is an avid camper, an advanced diver, enjoys kayaking and playing music. She is part of the Irish Whistle group, Foghlaimeoiri and a Scot of the Old West re-enactor. She has one daughter, Desiriah, son-in-law, Randell, and her beloved St. Bernard, Mina. She lays claim to a number of septs and clans in Scotland and Ireland: Foreman, O’Looney, Lyles, Hale, Stewart, Sinclair, Cameron, and MacDougall.





Matt Wilkinson


Matt Wilkinson, SCOT Sergeant-at-Arms and Webmaster, is a relative newcomer to the Tulsa area, having relocated here from
Chicago in late 2008. Matt works in the IT field, managing IT procurement and desktop architecture for CP Kelco. Growing up in
Chicago, Matt's father, James MacDonald Wilkinson (a transplanted Canadian), first exposed him to Scottish culture through the
Pipes and Drums. During Junior High, Matt enjoyed several years as a side drummer in the Chicago Stockyards Kilty Band, while
Jim was in the Color Guard. Matt visited Scotland for the first time in in the early 1990s to attend his brother's wedding, and spent
a fair amount of time touring around the highlands and countryside (and vows to return soon). 





Brian McKaskle


            Brian McKaskle is the Club Photographer. He is a graphic artist and animator by day and masseur by night. His hobbies include
            photography and model railroading.









Kathy Brubaker


                Kathy Brubaker is Food Hostess/VP. No bio is available at this time.









            Sheri Lloyd serves on the board as Secretary.  Joined SCOT in 2008. Favorite events are the Pub Crawl and Burns Night.  
            Enjoys learning more about Scotland, Robert Burns and the sight of handsome men in kilts!  Favorite drinks are Black and
            Tan and Irish Car Bomb..Irish on dad's side (maiden name O'Hara) and Scottish on mother's side -- clans Marshall and McFie
            (McAfee)







Scott Burns


    Scott Burns is the Ways and Means Chair of the SCOT Council.  He was born in Kansas, but moved to Oklahoma shortly
    thereafter.  From there he lived in Germany, Italy, Pakistan, Turkey, and (Panama) Canal Zone where he graduated from high
    school; then went to the Canal Zone College before coming to Oklahoma to get his B.S. degree.  One of his travelling highlights
    has been a month-long bus tour of Eire (Republic of Ireland), England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.  Some of the
    highlights in Scotland were (1) Edinburgh Castle and pub crawl in Edinburgh, (2) St. Andrews, the “Home of Golf, (3) Glen Ord
    Whisky Distillery tour, (4) Robert Burns Museum, including Cottage, and (5) highland dancers, vocals, and music.  His clan is
    Burns.  He is proud o' his Scots heritage.
