Many of you may know already, long-time
SCOT member, Oklahoma Scottish Festival Supporter, SCOTS of the Old West
member, and all-around proud Scot descendant Hal Burdick passed away
Sunday August 21st.
Hal's family has arranged for his
Memorial Service to be held Monday August 29th, 2pm at First United
Methodist located at 1115 South Boulder. Family and friends can gather immediately following this service at Cosmo's Café located at 33rd and
Peoria. The family asked that donations can be made to SCOT in lieu of
flowers. If mailing, please send to Scottish Club of Tulsa, PO Box 470605, Tulsa, OK 74147 (be sure to write somewhere on the check that is in honor of Hal). You can also hand deliver a check or cash at the memorial service on August 29 or at any upcoming SCOT gathering.
Hal wanted his friends to have a party,
on him! We are happy to honor his wish and will have a "Good and Proper
Wake" this Saturday August 27th. Please join us at C.J. Maloney's
Irish Pub located at 145th and 91st in Broken Arrow beginning at 4pm.
Hal loved all things Scottish so please wear your kilt! If you have
photos of Hal bring those to share as well, even on a USB Drive (thumb
drive). And of course any stories, tales, or kind words to share.
You don’t have to have known Hal well or a long time to come and support those who did. Join us for Fellowship if you are able!
Hal's dog "Goldie" is now looking for a
new family to love and be loved by. She is an 8 year old yorkie/lhaso
apso mix that is house broke. If you can help - let us know!
