  2. To aid one another, insofar as conditions and abilities will permit.
  3. To preserve and perpetuate Scottish traditions, ideals, literature, minstrelsy, song, dance, customs, amusements, and functions, through public concerts, public exhibitions and public events.
  4. To encourage, in whatever ways are possible, the formation and/or perpetuation of a Tulsa based Pipe and Drum Corps.

What We Do

The Scottish Club of Tulsa meets monthly on the first Saturday of each month (except legal holidays and summer months) beginning at 6 p.m. at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church located at 3601 S. Yale Avenue. The meeting includes a pot luck supper with the club providing the main meat dish. Club members pay a small fee at the door to defray cost of the facility and entertainment. The evening's program might include Scottish folk singing, piping, dancing, poetry, slides or videos on Scotland, history, or all of these and more.

Members of the club participate in community events whenever such visibility would promote Scottish heritage and interest potential members. SCOT is represented on the advisory panel of the Tulsa Performing Arts Center Trust's Celtic Music Series, which features internationally known musical artists. The Club also sponsors and holds events such as picnics, fundraisers, golf tournaments and other specialty events based on member interests. Annual dues are $15 for individuals, and $20 for family or spousal couple memberships.

You may download an application for membership in Word format here application.doc (Right click and do a Save As..) Free Word viewer here.

The highlight of the year for SCOT, in addition to the Highland games, is the late January observance of the birth anniversary of Scotland's national poet, Robert Burns.
